I am wondering why you are discussing to work the patterns in Le Pompe
with wire. As far as I know they didn't work the gold laces in former
time with the wire some of us, I too, use today. I must add I don't
know these patterns I don't have the book and I don't know what sort of
wire this Kreinik cord is. We don't have it here in Germany.
I did some so named gold laces with the Plett and the other threads
which are often metall over silk. And these are the materials of those
old gold laces.
Perhaps I understood something wrong than please appologize me and my
mail.
