Hello Everybody,
nearly all of you pointed out the reasons some lace events didn't find as much visitors as years ago, so I must not add the same ideas. What Antje wrote is about what happened with me. I started in the end 80's. Only one book and a small booklet at that time no supplier for thread and other things. So I had only a big thread-reel with linnen 50/2. With which I did all the exercices in the book from K. Egger. So I get very early a feeling for fine laces ;-))))). Neither did I know at first of Deutscher Klöppelverband. But than it goes up very quick and I had an interruption because our stay in the States. Today I could go to a laceday every weekend in my country and a lot more if I want visit all around in France or so, if I want. Still the competitions are so numerous ....... Shall I tell you how many unfinished works there are in our flat???? I must say I wish that some of the lacedays or -fairs would take part every second year.
Greetings
from Ilske in Hamburg, Germany. Whose suitcase is on its way for Groningen and hopefully meet me again on sunday.
Save and nice journey to all OIDFA-goers, see you there.
