I had a very good tip from Geraldine Stott when I was at a weekend Bucks lacemaking course at Belstead House about fans and have used it successfully ever since - work to the outside pair and pin up but before you return take the pair in two hands and open them one up and one down and lay them down and continue, believe me it works, perfect round curves every time.
