Which way you will need to turn the bobbin depends on whether the thread is S or Z twist. Try one way and if the separate strands are looking less separate that is the right way to turn the bobbin. If they are getting more separated you need to turn the other way!

Thanks Sue, thats interesting but which way do I turn the bobbins to wind it back? If I think of cross, cross rather than the twists which would seem to be whats undoing it, I might work it out, <g> have I got that right?
