As Michael, I use l2h 98.2b6 (with win95 and web2c). I could reproduce
his problems. See

and compare with

I don't think the problem comes from an obsolete installation of netpbm. I
use the win32 port made by Fabrice Popineau and I believe his distribution
is up-to-date (Could he confirm that point ? Thanks.)

related to the command
