Rob,
You're eulogising of the sad alcoholic is mildly alarming - are you a closet Derby/Forest fan? King Billy, Giles and co couldn't stand him for very good reason, or are you forgetting the "throw your medals in the bin" speech. He belittled the achievements of the greatest manager we have ever had at every opportunity, and for that alone he deserves to be despised by any self-respecting Leeds fan. My glass was certainly raised high when I heard of his death, as it was with Bob Stokoe - some people are beyond being forgiven. BTW, is Margaret Thatcher dead yet?!! But just admit it, the bloke had talent for finding quality and bringing them on he got Roy Keane to NF from some mickey mouse Irish team for the price of a cup of team and biscuits. .Roy McFarland from.(Bradford ? ) and turned him into an international at Derby John McGovern, I think he was at Hartlepool with him Colin Todd chose cloughie instead of the Don ..remember that one ? He made Des Walker, Steve Hodge, Lee Glover..and Im sure ~I could come up with a long list given time.. Admit it Rog, he was a loss. He was the right man , Bremner , Giles and co just could not stand him. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER
