I thought we played well, especially first half. Pablo going off was the
turning point for me - Roofe is absolutely gash. I couldn’t understand why he
took that free kick right on the edge of the area, which he then failed to beat
the first man with. Surely Saiz would’ve been a better choice?
I think Ayling needs a spell out of the team. He’s getting caught out
positionally all the time and I don’t know why he keeps cutting inside with the
ball. I’d play Berardi at right back but then we’re back to the issue of no
left back. I think the recruitment has been good but it was a massive mistake
to not sign a left back, especially when we knew that Taylor was going.
