having posted I then went on waccoe and read the 'we did a mural' threadAboout
third and fourth posts say"Good stuff that.... this club is definitely going
down the right path.. by Gipton white
then from Stevedave
"he club has been brilliant, its worth bearing in mind, 3 succesive ownership
periods has said yes you can come in and do it but just didnt....shall we say
come through the change in th clubs attitude is amazing, they want to work
with fans"
Ok it is just two lads opinions but it backs up my point about fans who are
more in touch with things

I have just read the interview with our 'managing director ' Angus kinnear in
the Square Ball - it is interesting stuff.Reading that and recalling the
interview with Orta a few months back, anyone who does not think things are
heading in the right direction and who does not think things have improved
massively since Bates/GFH/Cellino is really not paying attention.
It really does appear that we are setting down the foundations towards getting
to be a decent Premiership club. We are building for the future and doing
things properly.
Yes, they all talk a good game but as others have said things like buying back
the stadium, LUTV showing games for overseas fans, good ticket offers, talking
and listening to fans groups etc show that, to date, they are backing up their
talk with action
Of course, ultimately, all that counts is what happens on the pitch and even
despite our recent slump , things are better than they have been.We bought well
in the summer, some of the recruits have not (yet) worked out but it takes time
to adjust to a new country and a new club and a new league. Hopefully Felix has
learnt a few hard lessons. Ekuban is now back from injury and Alioski is
finding his feet - 4 goals in 5 games.
From what I have heard and read - Green spat his dummy out and was causing
trouble when he was no longer first choiceWood - we offered him a big rise in
wages and said if we did not get promoted we would sell him for half his real
value so I don't know what else we could do. We are a Championship club and
players want to play in the Premiership, so to try and compare us to Wenger at
Arsenal is just silly (not quite sure what the Wenger stuff alludes to in any
event)
I get it that fans want us to get promoted and that for overseas fans it is
hard to accept where we are, but as someone who goes to all the home games and
speaks to fans who go home and away etc, and therefore, I believe have 'my
finger on the pulse' a bit more than someone thousands of miles away, I am
happy with the way things are going and have a great deal of confidence in our
future

I think that’s a harsh judgment on AR.
He’s bought the ground back and recruited some decent players. We also seem to
be rebuilding the academy- we’ve signed a lot of players for the u18 squad. One
of them, Kun Temenukhov, is a Bulgarian striker who was at Barcelona ‘s academy
and is highly rated.
In this instance I think we need to be more patient
