Yes - the Event Clipboard is for exactly that purpose.

With the Edit Event screen open, click on the "copy" icon on the right
of the screen.  Go to another Individual or Marriage and open a new
Event.  Click on the "paste" icon and the full details of the Event
*and* any Source(s) you attached will be copied.

BUT ... the Event Clipboard does not hold everything but only a link to
the copied Event, so if you want to *move* and Event (as in moving from
an Individual to a Marriage as you mentioned) you must do the Copy &
Paste and then go back and delete the original.
