I've decided to add my take on what I see. Please don't take this as
picking on anyone in particular. Brian, your email just happens to be
the last one in the list.

LUG gets an average of 33 messages a day, or about 1,000 a month. Some
of it is really unnecessary, as this email of mine should be. I have
over 60,000 LUG emails in my Legacy folder from late 2004. Please think
about that when you go to reply the next time. Ask yourself, "Is what I
have to say really contributing to the discussion, or just adding to the
noise?"

I don't know this for sure, but it's likely that new members are
moderated to make sure they aren't spammers. It's very likely, from past
experience, that the moderators have to weed through a lot of spam every
day to filter it out manually. that means that they have to look at a
lot more than 33 emails a day. If they are busy with another project,
they may not get to release some of the legit email in a timely manner.

I know that Bob Runion has had another email address in the past. It's
very possible that he was attempting to use that one, or another, to
send to the group. It's possible that it was held up along the way as
someone else's was recently. I think that was William's. Maybe the
servers undergo distributed denial of service attacks or spam runs that
delay the messages.

What ever is the case, demanding an explanation is not productive. It
just adds to the noise and tension. There's no need for it.

There are many of us that really appreciate learning from what others
do. Many of us appreciate all the work that the staff goes to to bring
us the features that make Legacy what it is.

Can we please move on to discussing how to best deal with all the
wonderful features and, yes, how best to deal with bugs or problems.
