Brian,

This is my one and only contribution to this thread! I have previously made
one other contribution to a thread on the same subject, shortly after I'd
had problems, in that I could post but not receive. It was sorted after I
emailed Legacy and asked them to rectify the situation.

And that is the only action which someone in a similar situation can take.
It is a waste of time, the poster's and ours, writing to this list. We are
users, we have no control on the workings of LUG, we do not know if they are
having problems, nor what is causing delays for the list to become active
for some users. In other words none of us can answer.

So, Brian, in answer to your question "Or should we start to ignore any
requests for email messaging help", in my view, the answer is "yes", because
*we do not know*.
