It has certainly been experienced by at least one other (me) some time ago -
but seemed to resolve itself and has not re-occurred(Touch wood!) There was
nothing specific that I recall doing which resolved the issue - for instance I
always shut down both Legacy and my PC, I did not do a check repair that I
recall (problem resolved before I got to that point from what I remember). But
it was certainly a problem for a few days - source detail was being replaced
with random - often single - characters. And no, nothing to do with Source
Writer as I always use basic sources.

Paul,

I've followed your thread, and my opinion is you have a problem that is not
easily replicated, nor is it one I've ever experienced (I use SourceWriter
exclusively), except when I used the Source or Event Clipboard and didn't pay
enough attention to what I was saving in Detail. In other words, the only way
I can replicate your problem is to make a human error.

I'm not saying that's what happened to you, but as you probably know,
intermittent problems that only a handful of users experience are the hardest
to identify a cause and fix.
