Gail, I don't believe it is a corrupt .usr file. It has been this way through the last several versions of Legacy. I first noticed this about a year ago and tried many times to find a way to make it stick. It's just that when you force Legacy to open a specific family file at startup, it resets this option to default. I have just learned to live with it.
