Bill,

I may have misunderstood Gail, but I believe she was talking about using
Windows 7 with the legacy icon on the "Start" or "Task" menu. In windows 7,
you may right click on the icon and get a list of family files last opened. By
choosing one of them to open will reset the option to open a specific family.

Gail. Like you, I also work with several family files and I haven't had the
problem you describe. If you the option "Open last used file automatically"
ticked. The last used family will be the one that opens. If you tick the
option "Always open this file" and select a certain file, that file will always
open. In your first paragraph you stated that you have the open last used
optioned ticked. I've copied it here. I have chosen as the "always open this
file ", the last one that I was working on is the one that opens. I go into
option and of course, "open last used family file" is ticked. I apologize if
I'm misunderstanding you.

I'm using the latest build with Windows XP and have no problems.
