Sorry Jan, my comment was merely in reply to Brian/Support who called for suggestions. My suggestion was to have the option to make the comments/notes read more like a sentence in a book and therefore not include where they are from eg "Notes: .............." ----- Original Message ----- From: Jan Roberts To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2012 10:49 AM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] Narrative Reports
It is my understanding that A. J. wants the events to print, but not the notes associated with the events. In the Master Event Definition List, choose for example Residence, click Edit, and check off the Private Event box. This should prevent that master event of Residence from showing up on your report. You can also override this in the Report options. Census events or residence events for instance. All notes attached to events/facts display beautifully in chronology views but all of those notes also appear in narrative report by default. Someone suggested using privacy brackets to prevent notes from printing in narrative reports but a method of excluding those notes globally is much preferred as it is difficult to place privacy brackets on notes for thousands of entries. > > > -----Original Message----- > >From: Ron Ferguson <[email protected]> > >Sent: Apr 10, 2012 11:52 PM > >To: [email protected] > >Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Narrative Reports > > > >Which Notes?
