The trick is to put the privacy brackets round the [Notes] field in your Event 
Sentence, not round the actual Notes.  That way you only need to do it a few 
times and everyone is covered.

Example:

[HeShe] appeared on the [Desc] census [onDate] [inPlace].[Sources] [[[Notes]]]

If this "doesn't suit" occasionally it is not too big a job to remove the 
privacy brackets from one or two Event Sentences and put them back later.
