I never take photographs from findagrave without asking and getting the submitter permission, so it's got to be very important to go through that process, but I do sometimes and show "provided by" and give the name. When I add findagrave records, I say "Record submitted by" and the name. I record what they've submitted and then add the URL. Of course, I'd love to have that photo for my files, but I just record that a photo has been added and by whom. I've searched findagrave and found where they alow snipits of partial information to be submitted onto memorials, but didn't find anything about taking snipits from a memorial. Thanks to Tim for the "Copyright Fundamentals for Genealogy" URL. Here's an example: "copies the pages and posts small, significant portions from them online".
