There really is no way to deal with the Living indicator field, since
it must be set to either Yes or No, neither of which is correct in
many cases. The suggestions that others have made are simply different
ways to indicate that it is not known whether someone is living, but
that does not prevent the Living indicator from being wrong.

I agree. I asked for this some years ago when I first started using
Legacy 2?, 3? and was told it would be looked at, and that was the end
of that. I have a number of people who I don't know if they are alive or
not and still wonder how others deal with it.
