I'm trying to sort out my location master list (I'm a new Legacy user). I think I have a couple of issues so please bare with me while I try and explain. In my old program (brothers keeper) I had locations entered like this.
(Building), (City/Town), (County), (Country). An example of this is York & District hospital, York, Yorkshire, England Now as I understand it, the recommendation for storing places is (City/Town), (County), (State/Province), (Country) with the entry of Building details (house # /street) in say Birth address. So, if I follow this logic I go into the birth address to enter details. I find in there, there is no place to enter county for the birth address. What do I do? To compound this, if I then click on the Geo Database I get three different entries for York like this (City), (County), (State/Province), (Country) York , , Yorkshire , England York , Yorkshire, , Great Britain York , Yorkshire, , UK So my questions are 1: how do I enter a UK address in both the location field and something like the full birth address. 2: Why so many different options in the GEO database and which should I use.
