I don't remember if my first time thru was truly clean or not (LFS4), but

So, "who made it through cleanly on the first try" maybe has just missed a
great learning experience ;)
Nah - that's what BLFS is for - between X, a window manager, CUPS,
databases, apache, and other things that some programs seem to need as
prerequisites, bare LFS seems a much less daunting task... ;-)
