When a person dies, his assets will soon be transferred precisely because he can no longer own them. I feel so foolish explaining such basics.
_____ A person cannot be defined as a body only. All personalities, present or absent have the same rights. The fact that my grandfather is dead, does not mean that his property can be taken away from him, or no longer exists. The rights to own and transfer property do not terminate with the death of a body.
