ballots being counted shown on Fox News. But where are the
Libertarians?
My response: How many ballots were cast? How many participated in
this alleged election? Wouldn't a Prime Minister be elected by the
mp's who are party members of the party that holds the majorty of
seats in Parliament if a former PM stepped aside? I don't know who
this Al Jaffari is. Al is a European/American name for a man and is
usually short for Albert or Alvin. It seems odd that an Iraqi would
have the first name Al. Libertarians like myself are not concerned
about a PM being elected in Iraq. PM are not elected by direct
election btw, usually the leader of a party that is in the majority
is automatically the PM.

democracy?
My response: First of all has a democracy been established in Iraq?
Secondly even if a democracy has been established in Iraq is that
something to celebrate? A democracy means that 51% of a population
can violate the rights of the other 49% of the population. I would
prefer a constitutional republic that is very limited and small and
stays that way to a democracy as far as governments go.
