Yes, and passed on larger spending bills than we had ever seen before. Balanced budgets mean nothing when spending keeps increasing. Tax cuts mean nothing when spending keeps increasing. They NEVER reduce spending. > TP> ... YES. Smaller government is not just some random goal i have. It is what I beleive makes a better government. That does not change just because some jackasses attacked us. And Bush increased spending in things htat had nothing to do with 9/11. 60% increase in the federal dept of education? Care to defend that one? > TP> ... I was born in 1977 and during that time they have the presidency for all but 12 years. The republicans have had it for 16. How many spending bills have passed despite a republicans veto? They have also controlled part or all of congress for quiete a while now. You know a bill has to pass both houses right? Our system is set up to make things hard to pass unless a party has a super majority and the white house. But that implies that the minority party have balls to stand up for whta they beleive in. The republicans do not. It is in the last few years that they have had a beeter easier chance to change things for the better, what they have done with it is speed up the process of making things worse. > s>>>> The majorities in the blue pockets are people who LIKE govt spending. > > TP>>> They should start voting for the republicans. No. But that does not mean they are a local community paper. They are large national syndicated shows with millions of listeners. It is pretty tough to not define that as mass media. > s>> The blue media control the polls. > > TP> So republicans are just poll driven idiots?
