When I open your attached spreadsheet with the file picker, that is when I open
it by picking a file, I get A19 "highlighted", but without "focus". I have to
explicitly give it focus in order to be able to change its content.

I am with gtk3.

I think I have the same, or a similar problem, with writer. By that I mean that
sometimes I must give the .odt document explicit "focus" in order to change its
content. Though I usually use a mouse click to give "focus" to the .odt
document. I am not sure which keys can do that instead of the mouse, if at all.
For me, a mouse click also give "focus" for A19 in the example spreadsheet.
