Will get back to you, Raymond as all later tonight on all this Neil.
Thought I'd find just a couple posts today, but it's busy!

Let me quickly say that my 50ct sounds DYNAMITE through the 'portable' 12V
auto system... an old top of the line Sony cassette/tuner Sony deck fed into
a pretty nice 60W RMS Carver amp into the big weak link... old power sucking
8 ohm Minimus 7 mini speakers. My Canadian Paradigm desktop speakers are in
storage. These little Sony walkman speakers are powered! ... but don't
seem to have much volume, and really poor fidelity. Guess the boost up to
the 'real' voltage of the alkaline batteries was probably as good a sound as
I'm going to get.

Maybe some more shopping will come up with something a bit better sounding,
but at least it's cool to have SOME small, pack-able, non-earphone sound
that's half.... hmmm... well... it's listenable if I put myself back in the
head of being 15, laying in bed with a transistor radio by my ear, and
listening to "I Want To Hold Your Hand" for the first time ;-p

Back to read on through the list a bit later.

Matt
