Since noone has raised any objections yet I see no reason not to continue.

I guess from the answers that I got the task of making the release. I feel there are a few things I need so I'll list what I can think of right now.

Firstly, the new version.
I believe Jon made a good argument so 1.3.6 it is.

Secondly, release plan.
I checked back on how 1.3.4 and 1.3.5 was released and since both these were done the same way I guess that is the way we do it. So the proposed plan for 1.3.6 is that rc1 released as soon as I can get it ready, rc2 two weeks later, rc3 at three weeks after rc1 and final 1.3.6 delivery at four weeks after first rc.

Alexey: How long is your trip? Can you get the translation done before rc2 or rc3 with the plan above?

Thirdly, the release note.
I've written down what interesting changes I could find and added a description about the new Qt4-Gui. Please read and let me know if there's anything missing or incorrect. (Or update it yourselves directly.)

Fourthly, making the packages.
Erik: Thanks for the procedure, one question though.
Is the signing done entirely by the create-licq-tarball script or do I need to have keys generated first? (I've never used GPG before so if yes I could do with some instructions as well.)

Fifthly, delivery.
Is there any difference between the RCs and the final package? i.e. are all packages sent the same way and the same notifications sent for RCs as for the final package or is there something special to do for the final package?

If I get everything together I hope to get rc1 delivered this weekend.

Jon: Will you be available to upload the packages to SF the next 5 weekends or is there some way for me to upload them directly?
