We should not aim for three releas candidates. Instead aim for one rc (possibly two) and only release rc X+1 if a serious enough bug is found in rc X. Except translations, nothing should change between the last rc and final release. > Is the signing done entirely by the create-licq-tarball script or do I need > to have keys generated first? Install gnupg and create a key for yourself (it is not that hard, google can help you). The script will use the default key (i.e. your key) for signing. > Is there any difference between the RCs and the final package? i.e. are all > packages sent the same way and the same notifications sent for RCs as for > the final package or is there something special to do for the final package?
