Another remark to `Ein Heldenleben': The philosophy behind the vertical
positioning of half and full rests in this full score (and rests in
general) is quite different to what lilypond produces. First of all, there
isn't really a `default vertical position'. Instead, the positions of
rests try to `continue' the positions of previous note heads, as image
`heldenleben4.png' demonstrates.
I find this solution aesthetically quite pleasing, and IMHO it's very
instructive to look at this very score.
