I just tried the movies in D8, and sure enough it fails (even on my Mac). I did try the movies with D7 under SoftWindows 95, and it worked ok. So, it looks like a D8 bug. Kinda makes me happy that we're shipping the product that uses LDMs as a D7 projector.
