I haven't had any problems with Sorenson running off of CD. I would stick
with it over Cinepak simply for file size. Have you limited your data rate?
180 kps is good for 320x240. Upsizing the video is a good idea, though.
Quicktime seems to handle that really well.

unfortunately, even that spec with a sorenson codec doesnt always play
perfectly straight of cd rom....u should either....do the following or
turn your video in to and mpeg and use the xtra directmedia
try
changing the color depth (decrease)
the frame size 240 x 170 but u can stretch it to the size u want...
make the number of keyframees every 30 (but will mean you cant skip
though very well if you are using a slider bar.)
try the CINEPAK codec on a bout 65%
as for the sound...
u dont need to change it to SWA
as SWA is MP3 but i wuld suggest playing with the settings...ie...maybe
make it mono
or take the data rates down....
tryit

The video was compressed as Sorenson, 15 frames/sec at 320x240. The
audio is
in MP3 format but I'm going to test it out as swa and play it in the
internal cast.

How are your video and audio compressed?

We are producing our first CD-Rom. It has a lot of audio and video. It
is
running very slowly, is there any suggestions on how we can make it run
smoothly?
