The only way to make Director move faster (assuming you already have it set
at 30fps) is to reduce the number of sprites on the stage at once, or reduce
the number of alpha channels you are using (in images), etc. If you have a
lot of stuff out there, even if it isn't doing anything, it slows Director
down anyway. What kind of animations do you mean in "the animations are
also lagging a bit"?

when you say "it it running very slowly" do you mean that the video and/or
audio are playing badly or that the frame rate of the entire Director movie
is slow?

The video was compressed as Sorenson, 15 frames/sec at 320x240. The audio is
in MP3 format but I'm going to test it out as swa and play it in the
internal cast.
