Hi,
I'm very new to director, about 20 hours experience. What I have managed
to do so far is load a dynamicly generated XML file from a server, this
contains a description and URL of an 'Asset' can be an image, avi, mov,
text, or sound. I then load the asset into the cast.
I'm having problems trying to get the asset from the cast onto the
stage. How do I do this? I have used puppet sprites but I'm not sure if
this is the best way to do this. I dont know how many assets are going
to be on the screen at the same time, could be 1 could be 100. Is there
a way to move something directly from the cast to the stage without
having to have a 'holder' already on the stage? or will I have to
duplicate a puppet sprite, 1 for each asset?
I have been using flash a lot so I am not totally sure about the way
things work in director yet.
Any help would be great
