Yes, we're using z/VM 4.2 with guest lans and hipersockets to communicate
between virtual Linux images with
very good results. We're suing SLES 7; make sure that you get the latest
kernel patches from SuSe and the
the latest qdio OCO modules from IBM. And also make sure that z/VM has the
two PTFs applied that fix problems in it's implementation of virtual
hipersockets; one for CP and one for TCPIP. A quick search of the IBM
technical support web site will turn up which ones you need.
