I like those two tools, but unless they've been updated recently, neither handle record length problems, out of spool space errors, or other things that are esoteric platform-specific errors other than spitting out "unknown error" and failing the transfer. Not desirable behavior in this scenario -- could be fixed, but it's a moving target and still doesn't solve the more general integration problem. I guess for me it comes down to if I don't *have* to invent a wheel, why should I? NJE isn't inherently bad at what it's designed to do, and there's no reason why it shouldn't work on Linux as well. In this case, it's a good solution for the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
