:-)  Be careful.  That just may make things more confusing.

If you want to understand what IEEE VLANs are, how they work, and how
switches are configured, it's best to spend some Quality Time with your
fave switch administrator and let them draw pictures.  It really is
difficult to express in words.  (I've read and written a lot of words on
this subject, so I consider myself qualified to make that assertion!  :-)
)

Odds are that the switch port your OSA is plugged into already assumes
that your VM system, and everything on it, is not aware of, and is not
using, VLANs.
