LVS is known to work well on L390 for load balancing and workload distribution; Linux-HA requires some networking function that isn't generally available there yet (the L2 support will allow this to work properly). Mosix and Beowulf are more distributed computing models than HA solutions; probably overkill for what you want to do. You may also want to look at OpenSSI (www.openssi.org). I haven't gotten it completely working on 390 yet, but slow progress is being made. It's actually much more appealing than just workload distribution -- watching processes migrate between systems is *really* cool. -- db ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
