Hi John,

Thank you for expressing your opinion with regards the use of English.

Personally, my first language is not English but please can we stay "On
topic" with these discussions.

All I am interested in , is the use of "Open Source" Databases on zLinux
 used by Users.

So please , I do not want resumes or Software Sales people replying with
"Yeah, we have many rows on our Operating System and we have many years
of experience with our software". Neither an analysis of the use of my
English.

Note: Please , I am a user and my only interest is "the use of software"
on zLinux and not what you think is an appropriate use of English.

Hi Mark,

Not sure if you worked for a newspaper before but please quote me
correctly if you feel it's your responsibly to apply some ethics to this
group.

My posting said :

A) "Thanks David" .. Meaning " I do appreciate your posting"
B) "I feel more comfortably". Implying that I would prefer to be talking
to "his" customers. He said, he has many customers.

Never said : " I do not trust you " and never thought I would have to
correct English grammar interpretations by somebody working for Novell.

Anton, I also felt your response rude. I looked for an explanation
beyond your name: if you don't speak English natively then I would
understand that you might not properly understand the nuances of what
you said.

It's easy enough, even amongst those who do understand English well. I
(an Australian) once described an American as penurious (I included
myself in the description). I'll leave you to research why I was
(properly) surprised that he took great offence.
