Hi,
This is getting ridiculous but I would do as you suggest , so here it
comes :
Thank you David, Mark, Neale and others for what you have contributed to
this list. I am a brand new member to this list searching for
information but all that has been happening , is that I had to first
explain what a "BRE" is and then we are discussing the use of my English.
Finally, I do apologize to anybody that felt offended by my response but
none of it was personally because I do not even know who David, Mark and
Neale is. All I know is that their is many people in the USA that
claim "they have done it before". Now please note, I did not call
anybody a liar and if you feel that I did call anybody a liar, I deeply
and humbly
apologize.
I am just looking for information and I did research on where some of
these answer came from.
If you feel offended by my research, I apologize but can we move forward
on this issue, please ?
Note: If you use an email list that belongs to a vendor, there is
certain assumptions that go with it and that is unfortunately a fact of
life or at least for me.

Hi John,
Thank you for expressing your opinion with regards the use of English.
Personally, my first language is not English but please can we stay "On
topic" with these discussions.
Public conduct of list members _as list members_ us within the purview
of any list. It's how members try to ensure others behave reasonably.
We've all heard of David, Mark, Neale and many other long-term
contributors. On this list, they offer their knowledge and skills free
of charge.
Abuse by Anton-come-latelies isn't a reasonable way to express
appreciation for their efforts.
All I am interested in , is the use of "Open Source" Databases on zLinux
used by Users.
So please , I do not want resumes or Software Sales people replying with
"Yeah, we have many rows on our Operating System and we have many years
of experience with our software". Neither an analysis of the use of my
English.
Note: Please , I am a user and my only interest is "the use of software"
on zLinux and not what you think is an appropriate use of English.
You won't garner much help by being abrasive. David's been around a long
time and is well-regarded here.
If you discount advice from service companies, I reckon you're showing
particularly poor judgment. If David had said, "We can help you set
that up," then maybe disregard that bit and use some salt with the rest
(but then David may well be castigated if he did that very often).

Cheers
John
