Hi, Frank.
Well, how to partition the disks and assign them mount points really
depends on what you want to do with the Linux guest. However, given that
you have 4 3390 DASD available to your guest, you might try something
like this:
1) /dev/dasda1 -- "/"
2) /dev/dasdb1 -- /"usr"
3) /dev/dasdc1 -- "/opt"
4) /dev/dasdd1 -- "/var"
Here, I've assumed that you have partitioned each DASD device to have
only one partition each.
Are each of the 4 3390 DASD the same size?

Okay, I have no immediate purpose for this, just trialing it. (I may
move a CentOS 4.7 server to it.) I have 4 3390-3 assigned to it.
So, where do I go to get some sort of idea as to where and how much
to allocate to the various file systems?

Hi, Frank.
Yes, the "no automatic proposal" is normal. Just select the "Change"
option and tell the installer script how you want your disk(s)
partitioned and where to assign the mount points. Don't forget to
allocate a swap disk, as well.
Let us know if you run into any other problems.

I'm not sure what to do about the mount points. (When I did a
CentOS 4.7 install, I selected automatic allocation and it did the
rest, including swap space.)
It's saying "No automatical proposal possible". Is this normal, or
did I miss something. (DASD has been Activated and Formatted.)
