Never mind my last message, I had not properly logged out of the guest, as soon
as i did and re IPL'd it showed the proper permissions .

mylinux:~ # vmcp q privclass
Privilege classes for user mylinux
        Currently: BG
        Directory: BG

I followed your instructions and got the following :
        mylinux:~ # vmcp att 1c04 to mylinux
FCP 1C04 ATTACHED TO mylinux 1C04

Then I brought it online :
        chccwdev -e 1c04
        Setting device 0.0.1c04 online Done

my next step i believe is configure it and LUN to access it correct ?
if so, please advice on how to do this.

Thanks again everyone / Mark Post
I am learning a lot from you all.
