Why can't all of us interested in such card join out forces and make
external box that would be connected by means of UTP ethernet so
that it's easy for anyone from 286 to brand new motherboards to
connect it and it wouldn't go down the drain in next few years??
Very low cost ethernet cards exist, and drivers are there.
Chips like e.g. Motorola MPC860T have 4 10Mb/s and 1 100Mb/s channel and
would give us opportunity of very high speed packet in future.
If multi layer PCB is problem for amateurs, let's find someone who will
make them for us and make them available for low cost.
Yes, this kind of solution would cost more than simple SCC card, but
look at the possibilities.
