Ok, eat shit, billions of flies can't be wrong !

That something good is expensive mostly means that it was not jet understood.
USB is too slow for full resolution Video, so many of us will have Firewire more 
sooner 
than later, just in order to do ATV or cut family-videos...

I bought 10 Ethernet-Cards for a total of 25Euro, I would not call this expensive.
Ethernet is just something "everyone" has when he has more than one Computer,
so it is the best standard when it comes to the question what to use for real fast 
TNC's 
or just to save IRQ's: it's a port you have or will surely have quite soon.

Ok, there is one argument pro USB: you can use it like Atari did with thier Keyboard-
Port and plug Keyboard and Mouse on it, so that you save thiese IRQ's,
but: you could do the same with Ethernet or with Firewire.
