As you already guessed, it's the usual problem with serial ports
and their IRQs. If you use more than 2 serial ports you will have to
purchase not only an expensive multiport serial card but also
assign a single IRQ to every serial port (if you do not have a special
card with all its ports having shared one IRQ - very expensive).
That's why I asked for some experiances with these cards in this
list, too....
Besides this there's also a problem with the various sockets
necessary for each port. Some older PC cases cause problems
here. Last not least you then have only ONE cable coming from the
PC instead of 4 or more of them.
