Perhaps the ID could be just outside of the bandwidth of the actual
signal. The MT63 (a recent digital mode) developers are now talking
about adding a semi-continuous CW ID running just 100 Hz or less outside of
the actual information bandwidth (which is 500, 1000 or 2000 Hz).
