Hey Sen,
This works for me,mail.wav is played whenever there is new mail
fetched by fetchmail. This is on my BSD box, check what is the device for
sound on your linux box (/dev/snd)(?) and substitute /dev/dsp1.
if fetchmail; then cat $HOME/mail.wav >>/dev/dsp1; fi;
