If u are connection to the Net is via a dial-up line, then just add the following line
to /etc/ppp/ip-up.local
# Send and receive mail
/sbin/mailrun
Adding the line will automatically send and receive the mail as soon as u get
hooked up2 the net. "mailrun" is a small script which sends and receives mail. A
sample of such a "mailrun" script had appeared in PCQ back in May,98.
