So make yourself a boot and rescue diskset, check out the linux partitions
on the hdd by running fdisk and quitting. mount each linux partition in
turn and see what it contains. If it has /etc you've struck gold. just
open /etc/fstab and photograph and frame it. I read somewhere that the
only things a sysadmin should always carry are copies of the fstab and the
partition table.
