That is all that is needed. Boot using the CD, come to the installation
menu. Press enter for the first few things, till it asks for installation
medium. Select local CDROM and continue. When you reach the next window,
the CD would be mounted. Leave this window here and switch to VT 2
(Alt+F2). You have a shell there. Run fdisk on /dev/hda, figure out
your root partition. Let us say it is hda5. Make a temporary directory
/tmp/mnt and mount this partition there - mount /dev/hda5 /tmp/mnt. Now,
run lilo -C /tmp/mnt/etc/lilo.conf and you are through. Press ctrl-alt-del
to reboot.
