An internal modem? Might be a winmodem. Check out if it is supported
under Linux at http://www.linmodem.org. If it isn't, you have to get a new modem (Make
sure it doen't say designed for windows on the box anywhere, all external modems I
know of work with Linux).

If you are using KDE, you can connect through kppp.
Just add a new connection under setup, the configuration is simple and easy.
If you are using wvdial, just edit /etc/wvdial.conf and check it out.
[For some reason, wvdial will not connect for me :(]
And of course, the ppp HOWTO at http://www.linuxdoc.org will help too.
>Please help me. It is going to take my job! Really. No jokes.
Sure, if your modem is detected, 80% of your job is done.
