There is a howto on this subject. You can surely go ahead with it . If you had
check the arcjives you would have seen that many people including newbies like
yourself have done this unaided. importatn thing is not to overwrite the old
kernel and to add a new entry to linuxconf so that you can always boot to the
old one. Also if you are going to post 5 mails a day to linux india please
consolidate them together and send them in one message.
